Saxophone & Electronics

Making music and developing an interactive live-set for saxophone and electronics.

This collaboration is titled “Failing Fwd:”

think of:
– automatically analyzing recorded audio and making melodies/beats with those sounds based on selected range
– looping and transforming sax sounds
– attaching motion sensors to the saxophone so that  you can control effects
– using pitch and loudness to control lights (color and intensity) in realtime

The first performance was 23-4-2011 @ Grote Kerk, Den Haag (during Nacht van de Hoop)

This is another recording of this project, but now the effects are done without a computer and completely controlled by the saxophone player.
